It began not with a plan, but with friendship. Over cups of coffee, studio visits and long conversations about art and life, Dabby Wong came to know three Malaysian artists — Alex Leong Yim Kuan, Angelo Chia Seng Chai and Yeo Eng Peng. Each had walked a very different path, yet all shared the same quiet devotion to painting what they love.

The more Dabby listened, the more she realised the most beautiful part of every painting was the story behind it — a childhood street in Penang, a morning on Mabul Island, the river of a hometown in Muar. Those conversations grew into trust, the trust into friendship, and the friendship into an idea: to share these stories with everyone.
