Shipping & Returns Policy

This policy sets out how we ship and package artworks and merchandise purchased from Art & Lifestyle Gallery, and the conditions under which returns may be accepted.

1. Order confirmation

Once your purchase is confirmed and full payment received, we will issue a written acknowledgement by email. Please review your shipping details carefully — changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has been dispatched.

2. Packing and handling

All artworks are professionally packed to minimise the risk of damage in transit. Framed works, sculptures and fragile items may require crating or custom packing; any additional costs will be quoted and confirmed with you before shipping.

3. Shipping timelines

  • Within Malaysia: typically 3–7 working days after packing, depending on destination and courier.
  • International: typically 7–21 working days after packing, subject to customs clearance in the destination country.

Timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by couriers, customs or force majeure events are outside our control.

4. Shipping costs, duties and taxes

Shipping charges are calculated based on destination, dimensions, weight and level of insurance selected, and will be quoted before you confirm your order. For international shipments, any import duties, taxes and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. Insurance and risk of loss

All shipments are insured for the full purchase value from the moment they leave our gallery until delivery is completed. Risk of loss or damage transfers to the buyer upon delivery.

6. Damage in transit

Please inspect your artwork upon receipt. If you notice any damage to the outer packaging or the work itself, take photographs of the packaging and the item, and notify us in writing at enquiry@artlifestylegallery.com within 7 days of delivery so we can assist with an insurance claim.

7. Returns and refunds

Original artworks are sold as unique cultural goods. Sales are generally final and non-refundable, except in the case of verified damage in transit or where the work materially differs from its written description at the time of sale.

For eligible returns, the artwork must be returned in its original packing and condition within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping, insurance and any restocking costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Merchandise

Non-artwork merchandise (books, prints, catalogues, gifts) may be returned unused and in original packaging within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price, less shipping costs.

9. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled with a full refund before dispatch. Once an order has been packed or shipped, our standard returns policy applies.
